The Shattered - Version 0.7.2


Hello everyone!

I've released a new alpha version of The Shattered!

From this version, there are multiple types of arenas, with different scenarios and winning conditions. Also, scenarios may contain additional modifications and obstacles.

Moreover, I added new visual effects for player skills and other elements in the game.

There is also a new elite enemy awaiting for you in the arena!

Detailed changelog:

New features:

  • Support for different arena scenarios. Added 2 new scenarios (Survive 60 seconds and Teleports)
  • Some scenarios can contain additional scenario modifications. Scenario mods are a small changes applied to the arena or other elements in the scenario. Added first 6 scenario mods (laser, lances, fireballs, icy floor, hurricanes, exploding barrels).
  • New elite enemy: Possessed - melee unit with many support skills

Changes:

  • Fixed bug with incorrect fireball targeting on WebGL version (thanks @machu )
  • Dash skill has been reworked a bit, it is now really Dash instead of teleport, there is a window of player immunity (iFrames) during the dash.
  • Fireball has now 30% chance to pierce and continue flying after hitting the enemy (but single fireball can hit single enemy only once) - this is a test chance, it's not decided how this effect will be obtained in game in final version.
  • Fireball - trait: splitting fireball - first split happens immediately now!
  • Enemy skill - Fear - duration lowered 3s -> 1.5s
  • Added new visual effects when casting player spells
  • Added new bones visual effect when enemy skeletons are being hit
  • Displaying shard details in sacrifice shard panel!
  • Added a new visual effect after finishing level
  • Added small help text in level rewards panel
  • Fire Nova buffs: casting time (0.8s -> 0.6s), cooldown reduced (10s -> 8s), range increased (5 -> 5.5 for base version, 6.5 -> 7.0 for trait version)
  • Fire nova - shieldbreaker - now it completely removes base block of enemies hit
  • Fire nova - knock back - knocked back enemies are now also slowed for up to 3 seconds
  • Enemy elite death rays with "headshot" trait no longer insta kills player
  • Shards dropped are now limited to 3 per level to avoid shard farming in certain scenarios
  • Added a visual effect for "fear" effect.
